SAMSUNG GALAXY On8 and GALAXY J8
Seems like the wait is finally over for all the SAMSUNG lovers. SAMSUNG has finally launched a pocket-friendly all-rounder for the mid-range segment that has not compromised in any aspect. Samsung Galaxy On8 and Samsung Galaxy J8.
There is not much difference between both the devices except the Galaxy On8 will be sold exclusively via Online. The looks and the specs are the same for both the devices, except the minor change in the placing of sim card and Memory card tray.
Galaxy J8, with the so-called INFINITY display, was launched in India last month. The phone looks pretty stylish, even though the body is made of plastic. The device features a larger 6琶nch Super AMOLED Display with 720*1480 pixels (274 ppi).
Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor along with Octa-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU handles all and any task thrown to the device with ease. There is no lag or slow down from this device even while playing high graphics games like Shadowgun, thanks to the Adreno 506 GPU.
Now let's talk about the Camera, The highlight of these devices (Samsung Galaxy On8 and Samsung Galaxy J8) are the Cameras. Rear Cameras are 16MP+5MP Shooters with f/1.7 & f/1.9 respectively. Dual LED flash, Live Focus (as seen in SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 8) and other image enhancing modes are present by default. Even without any tricks and tweaks, the image that results is simply amazing, just like any flagship phone. Front side, 16MP (f/1.9) selfie shooter with LED flash, equally produces crisp and clear images, even at low lighting conditions.
3500mAh battery provides enough juice for an ordinary working day (No fast charging). Android 8.0 comes out of the box with the device. Since its a SAMSUNG device, timely updates can be expected. Outputs from the 3.5mm headphone jack and the single bottom firing speaker handle the audio/music department well enough.
In India, Samsung Galaxy J8 and Samsung Galaxy On8 come in 4GB RAM /64 GB ROM variant. Both the devices support Dual True 4G and a dedicated slot for micro-SD for more storage
The Online Price of Samsung Galaxy J8 (4GB RAM /64 GB ROM) is 18,990/-
My Verdict: If you are looking for a reliable camera phone under 20K, Go for it.
